Dustin Torvick, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Dr. Torvick is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and provides diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy. He started his career in medicine in 2012 working for Mayo Clinic in inpatient child/adolescent psychiatry before transitioning to adult acute psychiatric care.  Prior to joining the team, he worked for the State of Minnesota in their community-based mental health hospital in Rochester, MN. He currently focuses on providing medication management and psychotherapy for individuals across the lifespan at PrairieCare’s Mankato clinic.

Dustin’s interests include the treatment of mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. He strives to provide individualized care, recognizing the unique needs of each patient. He believes that patients do better utilizing a holistic approach integrating the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of his patients.  Dustin’s philosophy centers on empowering patients through reducing stigma, raising self-awareness, fostering resilience, and building support systems on their journey towards mental health recovery and wellness.
