Dr. San Miguel is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 16 years of diverse nursing experience, specializing in behavioral healthcare for adolescents and adults. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a commitment to improving health outcomes for underserved communities through a whole-person approach to patient care that integrates clinical expertise with advocacy, education, and leadership.   

Dr. San Miguel’s professional journey includes significant leadership roles at various levels of care and patient populations. From outpatient and telehealth services to acute care settings, she has played a pivotal role in supporting patients with a wide range of mental health challenges. She is especially passionate about supporting individuals impacted by incarceration, providing trauma-informed, evidence-based care rooted in humanity and healing. In addition to her clinical expertise, she has been recognized for her contributions to education and training.
