We offer a full continuum of care throughout Minnesota to meet patients where they are. Our residential and inpatient programs provide care for individuals experiencing severe or acute psychiatric care needs, while our outpatient programs offer flexible options to serve a wide range of needs and schedules. 

We provide ways for nurses to grow, learn, and continue their education.  

We encourage nurses to nurture their passions and curate opportunities to make it happen. Our education team provides continuing education presentations that spotlight current, innovative, and applicable information from thought leaders in the mental health field. In addition, we provide tuition reimbursement to support you in taking the next step toward a degree relevant to the nursing profession. 

Throughout their careers in Minnesota, we support nurses at PrairieCare with the following resources: 

• RN Transition to Practice Program: To assist in the transition from a new graduate to independent nursing skills. Participants have a monthly 3-hour session focused on reflection, community building, and diverse psychiatric nursing topics. 
• Charge Nurse Mentorship Program: To provide charge nurses psychosocial support and opportunities to advance professional, personal,  and interpersonal skills, to decrease stress and enhance well-being. This is a 12-month program that includes monthly meetings with your mentor.

Apart from formal education opportunities, our multidisciplinary teams thrive through diverse perspectives and therefore provide continuous learning opportunities. In addition, our team members cherish the special connections and lessons our patients share with us as they navigate their mental health journey

Throughout our MN locations and levels of care, we work with you to determine a schedule that fits your life. Our scheduling department and management team works closely with our nursing staff to ensure you can shape the schedule for a successful balance.
