Whitley Montgomery studied at St. Catherine’s University and Macalester College and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Visual Arts, and Japanese language and culture. Whitley then went on to complete her Master’s in Counseling and Psychological Services at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.

Since graduating in 2015, Whitley has provided therapy services for children ages 4 to 17, and to their families as a Children’s Therapeutic Support Services (CTSS) provider. Whitley has also been a family therapist for therapeutic foster care programming and worked with families on reunification and permanency. Whitley also has experience providing in home counseling to adults.  Whitley is certified in permanency and adoption competency, has training in TF-CBT, and has facilitated family psychoeducational groups for MNadopt.org.

In her current role as clinical supervisor at the Center for Families Minneapolis location, Whitley is responsible for supporting the therapists at CFF, overseeing the therapeutic care of all clients, and carrying a small caseload herself. Whitley is also a board-certified supervisor for LPC/LPCC clinical licensure.
