Tiffany Young has over 12 years of nursing experience in psychiatric care and healthcare settings. She has been fortunate to cultivate a wealth of knowledge across various psychiatric settings working with patients of all ages. Her passion for mental health has led to working in acute inpatient care, Veteran Affairs, forensic psychiatry, LGBTIQIA+ focused care, and addiction medicine.
Patient education is her utmost passion, and she strives to ensure that her patients have a good understanding of their individualized treatment plan. These are decisions that the patient and provider make together to establish safe, quality, specialized care. Her goal is to have her clients feel empowered and confident in their treatment. Utilizing a functional psychiatry approach to care, she works alongside the patient to explore genetics, nutrition, lifestyle, culture, medication, and therapy. Working at PrairieCare allows her to see clients consistently and feel confident that she is providing quality care.
Throughout her career, Tiffany has led committees for patient advocacy and diversity initiatives. As a Hispanic, Indigenous woman herself, she is passionate about advocating for BIPOC clients.
