This came after over two decades working in a variety of roles within the mental health field. Reese began her career in child welfare and case management at the county level, and then worked in the general school settings as a social worker as well as in a specific mental health school setting for several years. She then worked as an outpatient mental health therapist for seven years, working mostly with children and adolescents.
Reese identifies her areas of expertise in ADHD, Autism, and anxiety. She describes herself as an ally to LGBTQ+ patients. She largely uses a Cognitive Behavioral approach, incorporating a Family Systems Theory approach to working with individuals and families. Reese likes to look at the person as a whole; including how factors such as physical health, sleep, and nutrition impact mental health. She also employs DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Based approaches in her therapy.
When Reese isn’t with patients, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets. She enjoys working in her garden, doing DIY house projects in her 100+ year old home, going to concerts, and reading.
