Dr. Esteban Garcia joined the Woodbury PrairieCare team in 2025, where he provides compassionate outpatient psychiatric care for adults. He brings a diverse educational background and specialized training in high-acuity inpatient settings, caring for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions.

Dr. Garcia has led and presented research on long-acting injectable antipsychotic stewardship, comorbid psychiatric disorders, dementia-related behavioral management, and simulation-based education in opioid use disorder. His work has been featured at the Rocky Mountain Research Symposium, the American Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry, and national conferences, earning multiple awards for both oral and poster presentations.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Garcia is dedicated to advancing equitable mental health care, medical education, and community outreach. Outside of his clinical work, he enjoys playing tennis, kayaking, and spending time outdoors.
