Emily has worked for more than 25 years in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric programs and with a variety of patient populations. Her approach to treatment is to provide a safe place for support and provide useful tools and strategies that her patients can use to move through difficult times and heal from or learn to cope with their mental illness. When working with patients, Emily specializes in individual, group and psycho-educational therapies. She also uses creative modalities such as art therapy, journaling and movement therapy.
Emily is a lifelong learner who looks forward to continuing her education and experience in mental health program development, specifically as it relates to using group and psycho-educational therapeutic techniques.
Outside of her professional life, Emily enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading and being physically active through a variety of sports interests. She also owns a small craft business with her sisters.
