Dr. Tamirisa completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto, where she graduated with a specialist degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. She completed her medical degree at the American University of the Caribbean, St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles. Following medical school, Dr. Tamirisa then completed her residency training at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where she focused her clinical interests on child and adolescent patients.
Dr. Tamirisa is passionate about child and adolescent psychopharmacology, and she has presented and researched on various topics within the field of psychiatry. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to PrairieCare, particularly in the inpatient setting. Dr. Tamirisa works at PrairieCare’s Brooklyn Park Inpatient Hospital.
