Dr. Nathan Koranda is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and provides diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy. He started his career in medicine as a paramedic and has nursing experience in pediatric mental health, adult chemical dependency, education, and public health. He currently focuses on providing psychiatric care to patients who are 13 years or older at PrairieCare’s Edina location.

Nathan has many areas of interest, but he specializes in the treatment of mood, anxiety, and trauma related disorders. As a former paramedic in Minneapolis, he has an interest in first responder mental health. His public health projects are focused on increasing access to care locally and internationally. Annually, Nathan travels to Tanzania to provide mental health education and case consultation support. He believes in supportive, evidenced-based care that is equitable, accessible, and patient-centered.

In his free time, Nathan enjoys running, biking, reading, and meeting new people. He believes in kindness, collaboration, and utilizes these principles in his work.
