Lisa joined PrairieCare at the start of 2018. Prior to that, she provided therapeutic services to children, adolescents and families in a variety of settings, including in school, in the community and in homes. She also worked with adults through outpatient clinic settings.

Lisa’s therapeutic style with younger children involves play therapy, which draws on the child’s natural tendencies toward development and healing. She allows the client to initially guide the therapy, using play as the primary means of communication and learning. Working with families is a central part of therapy, typically focusing on supporting parent-child interactions and structure based on the child or adolescent’s specific needs.

In her spare time, Lisa enjoys coaching soccer goalkeepers, working on house projects, building snow creatures, spending time with family and playing with her dog outside.
