After several years of working with a variety of patients, Kenzie began working for the Rochester Intake and Admission Department in March 2021.

Kenzie graduated from Minnesota State University Mankato in December 2016, with a Bachelor’s degree in social work. She began working at Nexus Family Healing, serving as a foster care and adoption social worker, as well as working with groups in the residential treatment facility. While working, she also completed her Master’s degree in social work, receiving her Master’s from Walden University in November of 2019. As a foster care and adoption social worker, Kenzie worked with kids and families, guiding parents through licensing and helping fulfill the placement needs of the family and child. She also worked as a skills worker with kids ages 0-5 and 12–16 in the residential treatment setting, as well as working with patients of all ages, from 5-67, while completing her Master’s training.

Kenzie has discovered that she enjoys working with people of all ages, but particularly with teenagers. She focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while utilizing a variety of therapy methods and styles, including motivational interviewing, solution-focused work, and person-centered approaches. She also has a clinical interest in trauma, foster care, and adoption, as well as depression, anxiety and ADHD.

In her free time, Kenzie enjoys traveling, watching sports, doing DIY projects and decorating her home.
