Bachelor’s Degree: Winona State University
Licensure: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

Katia has 12 years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker. She has worked in a hospital setting and an outpatient clinic setting with children and adults. She has spent a large portion of her career working with children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders.

Katia enjoys working with children and adolescents who are struggling with a wide range of mental health concerns. She has a special interest in working with children, teens, and families that are impacted by autism, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Typical modalities used throughout treatment include Social Skills Training, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength Based Approach, Family Systems, Psychoeducation, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Parent Management Training. She strives to work collaboratively with her clients to assist them in utilizing the strengths and influences they already possess to make the desired changes in their lives. She loves to find that “something” that helps clients connect with therapy and their motivation to learn and grow. Katia’s warm and welcoming personality allows even the most vulnerable client to feel comfortable to openly share their story in a safe, non-judgmental setting.

Outside of work, Katia enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She enjoys reading, going for walks, and listening to live music.
