Medical Degree: University of MN, Minneapolis
Residency: University of MN, Minneapolis
Fellowship: Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, University of MN, Minneapolis

Dr. Kristen Case has had a passion for working with children all her life. She completed her undergraduate training at Carleton College, medical school and psychiatry residency and fellowship training at the University of Minnesota and joined PrairieCare in 2009.

She enjoys her role in PrairieCare’s partial hospital program since it allows enough time to really get to know her patients and their families well, while providing comprehensive psychiatric care with her treatment team. She believes that the partial hospital setting enables her to care for the whole family system including the identified patient.

She enjoys working with other physicians in a collaborative care model, and acting as a mentor to others committed to the mental health care of children and adolescents.  Because of her love of teaching, she is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Minnesota, teaching medical students, residents and child/adolescent psychiatry fellows.

In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her family and dogs.
